"Know Yourself/ Love Yourself"Group Life Coaching Class will begin on March 17 and continue 10 weeks until May 26th. Classes will be held on Saturdays, from 4-6 pm at the Mind, Body, Seoul facility in Itaewon. First introductory class on March 17 will be free and open to everyone, but please RSVP so that handout counts, seating, etc. will be right.
Beginning on March 24th, class will be open only to the first 16 pre-paid participants. The reason for this is simple: A group such as this needs continuity, cohesiveness, and consistency for maximum effect, and each class builds on those that precede. Please plan on coming to every class. Note: Minimum # of committed participants: 8.
You know how everyone is saying these days: "Be Yourself!", and how Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living?" After Life Coaching for several years, I have come to understand that many of us are not too sure we really want to look closely at who we are--for fear of what we might find. In some ways, it's easier to just continue doing what we are used to: figuring out what OTHERS want us to be, and do that, in order to get along and be liked. This is actually a great social strategy throughout our school years. But as adults, it is our job to figure out who we are and what is our own unique gift to contribute to this world. If we neglect this task, we find ourselves doing things we don't really enjoy, for people we don't really like!
What really makes us tick? Is it OK to be who we are? Why do we have the nagging feeling that we are just "not good enough"? What about our shadow side? Face it? or camouflage it in positive affirmations? In 10 weeks we will cover:
- What is Life Coaching, and how can it help?
- Exploration of Personality and Enneagram Types.
- Is it OK to 'be negative' about some things; dislike some people?
- What about family: Past, Present, and Future?
- Career choices--what is a good fit for you, and how important is money?
- Living with Human Limitations, and healthy personal boundaries.
- Honesty: Pros and Cons. -- When to say what you mean, and when it's fine not to.
- Personal Values and writing your own Mission Statements.
- 10th week ends with a party and everyone sharing how this course has impacted them.
This will be a jam-packed 10 weeks, so come prepared to do some serious internal work, and count on at least an hour's worth of homework each week.
Life Coaching in a GROUP SETTING has many benefits: 1) You come to find just how common your own doubts and insecurities are 2) The open-mindedness and acceptance of the group is usually a deeply healing experience, 3) You will develop many close friendships as we all share our real stories, and 4) This is by far the most cost-effective way to do Life Coaching: 10,000 won/hr. instead of 70,000! Total donation for committed participants for 10 weeks of 2-hr. classes: 200,000 won must be paid by midnight of March 23. Special discounted rate if paid at registration night March 17th: 150,000 won!
